Typical ITINERARY
DAY 1
Fly into Leh, the capital of Ladakh. Rest up and acclimatise for the day.
DAY 2
Excitement begins. Grab your motorcycles and head off for an acclimatisation ride. Learn about the military history of the region, visit some of the epic monasteries and explore the local market. The altitude does not change on this day.
DAY 3
Get ready for Adventure. Today you will cross K-Top one of the highest motor able passes close to 18000 ft. Be prepared for varying weather and great riding
DAY 4
A path less trodden and you will find that the tourists thin out. Today we head to the Siachen base camp. Siachen is one of the highest battlefields on this planet and close to disputed borders. You cannot but notice the heavy military presence and the happy villagers. Varying weather conditions and even a dust storm if you are lucky!
DAY 5
We head to Thang, the last border village of India. Just 2kms away from Pakistan and view the Line of Control between these two countries. Rent a binocular from one of the friendly village ladies and try spotting the bunkers on both sides. Back at base you have the option of exploring the local market. Ride a unique double humped camel, dress up like the locals or go rafting in the rapids
DAY 6
A day of off-roading and river crossings we make our way to Pangong Lake. Soak in the spectacular scenery on the way and enjoy the beauty of the Pangong Tso on arrival. We arrive closer to the golden hour and make sure you take plenty of pictures.
DAY 7
Today we head on a path even less trodden towards Tso Moriri. Highlight of the day - never ending twisties. Excellent roads managed by the Border Roads Organisation of India. But it does not end there. The final lap to Tso Moriri is off-road with the reward of a pristine lake and scenery. Make sure you have brushed on your photography skills and if lucky the Akasaganga (Milky Way) might treat you to a celestial display.
DAY 8
Another spectacular day of riding. Once the off-road section ends you are in for a treat on the way back to Leh. Ride along the majestic Indus River, visit an Indian army camp or find peace at the Hemis Monastery. Back at Leh, make sure you soak in the culture of the place one last time. Some unique eateries or shop for that special item for the special person awaiting you at home.
DAY 9
Take a late morning flight back to Delhi and for your onward journey. Back home or take a few more days and explore the Golden Triangle - Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal) and Jaipur - you will not be disappointed
